- Operator
- A computer that votes for new blocks to make them permanent.
The Network page calls it a finalizer.
- Staking
- Locking coins to an operator, from your own wallet. Still yours; you can unstake.
New stakes go in during a window that opens regularly. The Network page says
bond.
- Permanent
- A block is permanent once operators holding two thirds of stake have voted for it. It
cannot be undone after that. The Network page says final.
- The 1⁄3 line
- Anyone holding more than a third of the stake, alone or as a group, could stop
blocks becoming permanent. That is why spread matters.
- cTAZ
- The coin on this test network. Not real money.
